Fought nasties, commies, muties, oilies, and aliens from the Korean War through Vietnam and the Gulf. Didn't do "costumed" crime-fighting till the 80's. Stood forward as leader for the JLA after Stronghold-1 fell. Knows almost everybody: Champions heroes, Marvel & DC refugees. Has taught or guided over a dozen young paranormals into super-hero service. Has been known to donate large parts of his major fortune to finance good causes or help out the needy.
