She has reddish blond hair and blue eyes. History: Julia Carpenter was a normal tennis player, mother, and homemaker before a mysterious group known as the Commission decided to use her in its super powers experiments. The Commission secretly injected her with spider venom in ever increasing dosages, eventually transforming her into Spider-Woman II. Julia was among the people who were transported to Battleworld by the Beyonder. She revealed herself to the heroes there as Spider-Woman II and joined them. She battled the Absorbing Man, Doctor Doom and the Hulk. She was killed and brought back to life by Doom when he was wielding the power of the Beyonder (Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars #6-12). She became a member of the government super team Freedom Force, who were assigned to bring in the Avengers. When Freedom Force tried to take the Avengers to the Vault she rebelled and aided the Avengers (Avengers Annual #15). Alongside Iron Man she battled the Seekers, who sought to capture her for a reward. She went back to work as a government agent for Valorie Cooper (Iron Man #214). Alongside Spider-Man she battled the Wrecking Crew (Spectacular Spider-Man #125-126). When Julia came to California she happened across the Pacific Overlords, and went to the Avengers west coast branch to help look into them. After that adventure she joined the west coast branch of the Avengers (Avengers West Coast II #75). When the west coast branch of the Avengers was dissolved she joined Force Works until it was dissolved. Spider-Woman II was among the people invited to the wedding of Rick Jones and Marlo Chandler (Incredible Hulk #418). Julia was among the heroes who were captured by Morgan Le Fay and mind controlled into becoming her personal guard, the Queen's Vengeance. Julia was eventually freed and helped defeat Morgan (Avengers III #2-3). Powers: Spider-Woman II possesses superhuman strength enabling her to lift (press) 10 tons. She can create a sticky psi-web that can hold things in place and if released through her hands and feet allows her to cling to walls or swing from a web-line. She has faster then human reflexes.
