One of her first missions was to help rescue the original X-Men team. She later became their leader for a time, and then field leader of one team of X-Men. Storm has a strong faith, and is a calm, capable leader. Powers/Tactics Ororo has a comprehensive control of the weather, and can use it to her fullest advantage. Between her ability to ride the wind currents, and controlling the currents she rides, she can glide nearly indefinitely (although her control is not as good as a true flyer). She tries to remain aloft to be a worse target and fights defensively, so as to injure as little as possible and prevent injury to herself and comrades. Notes While Storm has a high point total and can create some quite sweeping effects, her capacity to do damage is not really any more than other X-Men, simply more varied.
