Installing Creation Workshop under OS/2

Assumptions

1. Creation Workshop will be installed to default directory "c:\creator". If you are going to install to another directory, modify setup2????.cmd files appropriately.
2. C: is an HPFS volume
3. Current WIN32OS2 drivers from Project Odin installed http://www.netlabs.org/odin. If you do not have this program you will need to get it from the Project Odin Download page and install it.

Known problems

1. Creator application runs slooooooowwwwwww. Not much that can be done about this, the emulation layer slows things down.
2. Creator application sometimes will not close normally, but can be killed from an OS/2 window list.

Creation Workshop (w/ Fuzion Template) Install Procedure

1. Download my the package of modified .inf files.
2. Copy Creation Workshop install diskette 1 (Creator Application) to either another diskette or to a directory on a hard drive.
3. Copy setup2creator.cmd and setup2creator.inf to where ever you copied the Creation Workshop install diskette 1 to.
4. Run setup2creator.cmd from copied to location.
• Install to C:\creator
• When asked if you want to create a program manager group, choose NO.
• When asked if you would like to install a game system, choose NO.
• When asked in you would like to read release notes, choose NO.
5. Copy Creation Workshop install diskette 2 (Fuzion Template) to either another diskette or to a directory on a hard drive.
6. Copy setup2fuzion.cmd and setup2fuzion.inf to where ever you copied the Creation Workshop install diskette 2 to.
7. Run setup2fuzion.cmd from copied to location.
• Install to C:\creator
• When informed that the application has already been installed to that directory and asked to confirm that you would like to reinstall, choose YES.
• When asked if you would like to install a game system, choose NO.
• When asked in you would like to read release notes, choose NO.

Hero System Template Install Procedure

1. Install Creation Workshop w/ Fuztion Template (see above)
2. Copy Hero Template install diskette to either another diskette or to a directory on a hard drive.
3. Copy setup2hero.cmd and setup2hero.inf to where ever you copied the Creation Workshop install diskette 1 to.
4. Run setup2hero.cmd from copied to location.
• Install to C:\creator
• When informed that the application has already been installed to that directory and asked to confirm that you would like to reinstall, choose YES.
• When asked if you would like to install a game system, choose NO.
• When asked in you would like to read release notes, choose NO.
