She has not aged since 1919 when the doors to the 'Sliding Earth' opened and she was 'changed'. Jenny Sparks 'adventured' from the '20s to the '80s, with various teams, fighting crimes and righting wrongs. Eventually, the death of the Sliding Earth, various setbacks and the death of her last group in the 1970s proved too much for her and she embarked on a decade long drinking binge. Until Henry Bendix recruited her for his 'hard-line' Stormwatch. An acquaintance from her previous adventures, Bendix managed to convince Jenny to join with the promise that this time, they would change the world - for the better. As shown in recent issues, Jenny still retains some ties with British Intelligence (at least her rank is still active), and has been married a number of times. Her first husband, the Albionite Lorenzo, is currently under guard in the R.A.F. Special Isolation Unit at Rendelsham. Jenny Sparks joined Stormwatch Black as its leader - a position she was personally uncomfortable with - and excelled at the covert operations the team specialized in. Her new position did not go unnoticed. Her past association with The High meant she was familiar with his habits and plans - and her position with Stormwatch meant that she'd be in opposition to those plans. Blind was sent to kill her, but she narrowly escaped, discovering that both the Changers and Stormwatch fall far from the ideals they supposedly represent. Sparks managed to return to Skywatch where she confronted Bendix, learning his true nature. He escaped by cutting power to the entire station, killing the occupants of the cryogenic lockdown and teleporting away. With his absence, Jenny was forced to assume command of Skywatch and the operation against the Changers. Most are dead, killed by a Hammerstrike launched by Bendix, but the High remains.A former friend, whose only crime was to yearn for a Finer World. An idealist forced to live in our reality. Driven to the brink of insanity by the failure of his plans, he took off from the ashes of his base on a direct course for Skywatch. Jenny, with no way to communicate with him, and a station full of people to protect, orders the Storm Door raised. The High is killed on impact with the force field. After the dissolution of Stormwatch, Jenny was the one who rallied her team and used the contacts they had developed to form The Authority. She leads because "some one has to be left to save the world." Jenny Sparks has total mastery of electricity. She can convert her entire self into an electrical entity (see below), disrupt the flow of electricity in any mechanical or organic object (i.e. your brain) and generate powerful electrical blasts as an offensive maneuver. It seems with enough electrical systems in close proximity, Jenny can expand her electrical 'presence' to a size of several hundred feet. (I'm assuming she needed the formation of Albion fighters to project her image). She is apparently resistant to the effects of alcohol and tobacco and is in the same physical condition she was when she was 19, having stopped aging since then. As a 99 year old adventuress, she obviously has significant experience in dealing with the unlikely and has numerous contacts throughout the SPB community on a global basis. Jenny Sparks is at heart, an idealist. She may seem jaded and world-weary, but these are the outward symptoms of the malaise that has affected her since she realized she couldn't change the world. But maybe now she can. Note : Jenny Sparks was the 'Spirit of the 20th Century'. A Hundred year defense mechanism against the owner of the Earth.
