Background: 


Karla Sofen used her skill as a psychologist to get the Moonstone (a 
mysterious artifact found near the Blue Area on the Moon) away from its 
former owner. Besides formidable powers, she is an expert at manipulating 
other people's emotions and taking advantage of their psychological 
limitations.
