Current group affiliation: Alpha Flight. Past group affiliations: Beta Flight, Army of the Goddess. Major enemies: Razer, Master of the World. First appearance: Alpha Flight #1 Origin: Alpha Flight #32 Description: Eugene is an unusually muscular and short man with brown eyes and black hair. He is balled, 3'6'' tall and weighs 225 lbs. He appears to be in his late 30's, but is actually over 80 years old! History: Puck of all the Alphans definitely has the most experience in the odd and supernatural. Born in Saskatoon Saskatchewan on the Canadian prairie at the turn of the century he went on to a life of adventure and mystery as a mercenary working all over the world. At this point in his life however he was six feet tall. Becoming well known in his field he was commissioned to steal the Black Sword of Baghdad, a mystical blade of power. When he took the blade however Judd managed to free the sorcerer imprisoned therein. The sorcerer Razer then began to attack Judd but Judd trapped the sorcerer inside himself using his own life-force to do so. At the end of the encounter Puck was only three and a half feet tall but retained all the agility and strength he had had before. With Razer inside him Puck became immortal as well not aging at all since the fight though he was in constant pain that he had to focus past. He first became involved with members of Alpha Flight when he aided Weapon Alpha and Weapon X in combating Chinook. Continuing on his life on the edge Puck eventually found himself in jail for murder where he was found by James Hudson and recruited into Alpha Flight on the condition he never kill again. Puck didn't actually get to Alpha Flight until the team was broken up by the government before that he had served in Beta Flight, Alpha's training team. While with the team Puck came in contact with the fire fountain of Svartalfheim which released Razer and gave Puck back his height and real age. Loki the god of lies then transported him to Tibet where he could carry on being an adventurer like before his time with Alpha. While there he saw a Buddhist temple being attacked by communist Chinese troops and decided to help out. During the fight the head priest gave him the option of traveling to other dimensions or helping his old friends in Alpha Flight. Puck decided to help his friends and was sent to the Dream Queen's dimension. He helped to defeat her but was trapped with her in this other dimension. There she tortured him and made him young again until she left (Alpha Flight #59-60). Alpha found Puck yet again while passing through this dimension trying to get back to Earth to battle Llan the Sorcerer. With the help of Puck they got home but he began to feel horrible. Taken to the hospital with Shaman he was abducted by agents of the Master of the World and made a guinea pig for his genetic experiments. The twisted form of Puck was found and changed back by Sasquatch but the method used left him yet again three feet tall. The process however gave him the super powers he had lacked before making him super strong and tough (Alpha Flight #87-90). Puck was among the heroes who were mentally compelled into joining the Goddess in her Infinity Crusade (Infinity Crusade #1). Powers: Puck is bulletproof as well as having enhanced strength. He is an exceptionally skilled martial artist and acrobat. He is also experienced in deep meditation, able to enter a death-like trance. Character created by Marvel Comics.
